I know that referring to the American electorate as a metaphorical child is dangerous. I am going to attempt this anyway. The "R" side of the aisle is the abusive father. The "D" side is the passive enabling mother. First, we let corporate America steal the daily wages of average Americans. Then, we let Wall Street steal what was left of their retirement savings. When are we going to stop the cycle of abuse? When are we going to develop a coherent strategy to communicate the simple reality of the last 30 years?
I don't want to live in a 3rd World Country--as much as I hate the term, I still hate the reality it represents. However, that is where we are headed.
